Adopt - A - Bear
Our full size Teddy Bears are fully dressed, soft, cuddly and waiting for the arms of a child in crisis. All of our bears are sealed in plastic to keep them clean then delivered to the Wayne County Child Protective Services Unit. Upon their arrival, they ride in the trunk of the patrol cars waiting to be given to a child in turmoil and distress. Children are removed from homes for protection and placement on a daily basis by this enforcement unit of the Wayne County Sheriff's department. This intervention is a terrifying and traumatic experience for these children and our Teddy Bears give them a friend to hug and hold. Your support of this program and donation will provide comfort and love to a child in need at a time when they need it most. Once adopted, you can give your bear a name of your choice. Our bears are named after loved ones or simply given a name that suits his or her character. Your bear's name will be placed on a name tag and attached to your bear for delivery. After your bear is adopted it's image and name will remain in our adoption registry on this site for your friends and family to see. Your $25.00 donation fee to Adopt - A - Bear covers the cost of the bear, it's clothing and delivery. Please show your support today and give a child the gift of love.
Since our bears are unique and one of a kind, they are adopted on a first come basis to prevent multiple requests for the same bear. If you would like to adopt a bear please fill out and submit the form below. Once you receive acknowledgment of your adoption request you will be directed to make your $25.00 donation on the donation page. Your bears image will then be placed in the Adopt - A - Bear registry displaying his or her name. Thank you for supporting our Adopt - A - Bear program.
